Startup item is a specialized bundle whose code is executed during the final phase of the system boot process, or at other predetermined times. Startup items typically contain a shell script or other executable file along with configuration information that the system uses to determine their execution order. For example, the system may pass a start, stop, or restart argument to the startup item executable to indicate which services it should start, stop, or restart.
When too many startup programs are running, your computer takes longer to boot, and may experience other performance issues (such as overheating). You can find a list of programs that are set to run at startup in the Task Manager’s Startup tab. If you’re an administrator, you can disable any of these programs with a single click.창업아이템
Historically, Mac OS used two folders to hold apps designated to load at startup: the /System/Library/StartupItems folder and the /Library/StartupItems folder in each user profile. While Apple discourages the use of these folders, many older applications still rely on them to load automatically at startup. The Startup tab in the Task Manager collects most of these programs, but you can also use the /Library/StartupItems and /Library/StartupItems/ folders to see what is being loaded in the background.
The /System/Library/StartupItems directory contains all startup items that are registered with the system and that are currently enabled in the user’s profile. The /Library/StartupItems/ directory contains those same items but only those that are specifically enabled in the user’s profile. Both directories are sandboxed, meaning that a change to either will not affect other users’ installations of the same application.
A startup item can be created in the following ways:
The simplest way to create a startup program is to add it to the Startup folder in the Applications folder. You can access this folder by pressing the window and letter R keys, or using a utility such as Startup Manager.여자창업
